Third Party Freight

Each PO issued by PSEG contains freight terms sometime referred to as inco terms. These terms control the point at which risk of loss and responsibility for freight pass from vendor to PSEG.

In most cases PSEG will select one of three Collect freight terms. Under these terms, the carrier will bill PSEG at their 3^rd Party billing locations and you the vendor should never be charged for freight. PSEG typically will not pay freight directly to vendors when terms are 3^rd Party billing to avoid the risk of double-payment of freight charges.
